CHIANTI CLASSICO DOCG RESERVE “IL CHIORBA”
NAME: CHIANTI CLASSICO DOCG 2013 RESERVE “IL CHIORBA”
GRAPES: careful selection of Sangiovese, Black Canaiolo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested upon achieving phenolic ripeness.
WEATHER CONDITIONS: after a bizarre beginning of the growing season, from mid-July temperature rose and the veraison began 10/15 days late compared to the last years. In September, there was a rise in temperature that led to a proper maturation of the grapes and preserved their health. During the month of October, in many cases the heavy rainfall have led to a dilution of the quantity and quality of the grapes still to be harvested.
